The Black Sea Fleet of Russia will receive three warships, two new submarines and support vessels in 2015, chief of BSF information support department, Captain First Rank Vyacheslav Trukhachev told reporters on Tuesday.
Over the past 18 months, the Black Sea Fleet got more than ten boats and auxiliary vessels for various purposes under the re-armament program. Among them are the latest anti-sabotage boats “Grachonok”, high-speed patrol boats “Raptor”, diving boats of various projects and sea tugs.
“This year, the Black Sea fleet is expected to adopt at least one of the newest patrol vessels of the 1135.6 project “Admiral Grigorovich”, which has already been worked out by a regular crew. In addition, the fleet should be expanded by two small missile ships “Zeleniy Dol” and “Serpukhov” the construction of which is coming to an end in Tatarstan at the Gorky Zelenodolsk Shipyard,” – said Trukhachev.
