The Russian Defense Ministry is satisfied with the reliability level of the Yak-130 training and combat aircraft and is ready to consider the possibility of signing new contracts, Deputy Minister Yuri Borisov said Tuesday.
“We are satisfied with the serviceability of equipment of this class, it exceeds 80%. So fast repair and maintenance work has been adjusted,” – said Borisov during his visit to the Irkutsk factory where the Yak-130 is assembled.
According to him, reliable after-sales service of the delivered aircraft is a prerequisite for signing new contracts with the Defense Ministry.
The Ministry of Defense and factory workers agreed that they would enter into new contracts for the supply of the Yak-130 “only under these conditions”, said Borisov.
