Russia is making progress in the implementation of the state armaments program, which is aimed at improving the technical capabilities of the country’s army by 2020, Newsweek writes.

So, by the end of 2015, the armed forces will receive 16 new Sukhoi Su-34 bombers, and in total over a hundred of these aircraft will be produced to replace the Su-24s, the edition writes with reference to the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).

Russia is expected to demonstrate some of the new items at the Victory Parade on May 9. The “Taifun-U” armored car, the “Kurganets-25” infantry-fighting vehicle and the “Armata” heavy tracked unified platform will be among them, the article says.
