More than 2 thousand soldiers and 10 ships to be involved in Victory Day parade in Sevastopol


More than 2 thousand Black Sea Fleet military men, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations minor units will take part in the overland and naval parades in Sevastopol devoted to the 70 anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

According to the Black Sea Fleet press service, the Sevastopol garrison troops’ parade will take place in the downtown, on Nakhimov Square and Lenin Street adjoining to it. The BSF Deputy Commander Yury Petrov has been appointed the parade commander. The BSF commander Alexander Vitko will review the troops.

A color group and three ceremonial platoons will be involved in historical part of the onshore parade. The military men in full dress of Land forces, Naval Fleet and Air forces of the 1945 sample will march holding the replicas of standards of the fronts of the Great Patriotic War.
