The modernized anti-aircraft missile and gun system “Pantsir-S2” will go into service of the Russian Air Force this year, said chief of the Air Force Defense Viktor Gumennyy.
“We receive new systems, primarily the S-400, as well as anti-aircraft missile and gun systems “Pantsir”. We have just finished type tests, and in June the new “Pantsir-S2″ will be produced. It will go into service this year,” – said Gumennyy.
According to him, this is a modernized complex with improved combat and firing characteristics. The general added that by the end of the year “automation of all aviation and air defense groups of the military districts” will be almost finished.
