Russian-Mongolian exercise “Selenga-2015” to be held in August

Servicemen of Russia and Mongolia will hold a joint exercise in the third decade of August in the Trans-Baikal region, the Eastern Military District press-service reported.

“For the first time, a joint Russian-Mongolian military exercise “Selenga-2015” will be held at the EMD training complex “Tsugol” located in the Trans-Baikal region in late August of this year … It is planned to involve about 500 servicemen of one of the EMD compounds stationed in the Republic of Buryatia, and up to 350 military personnel from the Armed Forces of Mongolia, as well as the Mi-24, Mi-8 AMTSH helicopters, Su-25 attack planes,” – a statement said.

During the exercise, the troops will work out joint actions during counter-terrorism operations with crossing water obstacles.
