Trans-Baikal training center of Eastern Military District to receive modern artillery and tank simulators


Training Centre of the Eastern Military District stationed in Trans-Baikal region in 2015 will receive 4 modern simulator for firing artillery and tank shells. This was reported by the press service of the Eastern Military District.

These simulators (2×25 and 2H26) allow the instructor using the hardware-software complex, console video monitors and controls fully manage and control the learning process in real time. It is also equipped with a simulator system “GLONASS”, to determine the coordinates of targets and areas of destruction.

The equipment and fully simulate the effects of the management of self-propelled artillery or tank.


New TU-160 is perfect combat-ready Russian bomber


Russia will purchase at least 50 of the newly revived Tupolev Tu-160 (Blackjack) heavy strategic bombers, dramatically increasing its arsenal.

“No less than 50 aircraft over time will be purchased in order to cover the costs that will go into production,” Bondarev said, according to Russian state media outlets.

Russia can create a single information management system for the defense of the state for more than 40 entities, including the army, law enforcement and other security agencies, the general director of “United Instrument-making Corporation” which is part of Rostec, Alexander Yakunin said.

Russia’s state defense procurement order in 2014 grew by 1.25 times year-on-year reaching 1.6 trillion rubles ($31 billion), Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov has told Rossiya 24 TV channel.

When the Russian state armament program up to 2020 was launched, it was implemented at 84 or 85%, and 157 out of 3,100 measures under the program were not fulfilled on time due to some reasons, he said.

“At the moment, the majority of these measures have been implemented, and over 97% of all the commitments in 2014 have been already confirmed. All the other measures will be completed in the third or fourth quarter [of the year],” he said.
