Pacific Fleet naval aviation crews performed in-air refueling for the first time

Crews of long-range ASW ircraft Tu-142 and interceptor aircraft MiG-31 of the Pacific Fleet naval aviation perform in-air refueling with the IL-78 tanker.
This is one of the most difficult elements of flight training. It is carried out at the altitude of 4-5 thousand metres at the speed of 500-600 km/h. The distance between the aircraft was several tens of metres.
Several aircraft of the Pacific Fleet naval aviation have already carried out the refueling.
The in-air trainings had been preceded by thorough theoretical classes as well as work with flight simulators.
