Russia operates more than 1.3 thousand zones of emergency alert

Russian regions have already put into operation more than half of the planned number of zones of emergency public alert in the event of large-scale emergencies.
This problem was of particular relevance after the tragedy in Kuban Krymsk, where in July 2012 as a result of devastating floods killed about 170 people. After that emergency siyuation Investigation Committee found that the alert system in Krymsk was practically absent, it noticed only about fifty people but it was too late.

As shown in Table of Emergency Situations Ministry, as of May 28, the country put into operation 1345 of the emergency alert zones out of 2211 planned ones.
