The Pacific Fleet command will check combat readiness of troops stationed in Kamchatka and Primorye, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

“The check involves about 50 ships and support vessels, 40 planes and helicopters, and up to 14,000 servicemen and civilian specialists,” says a report of the Eastern Military District press service seen by Interfax-AVN on Friday.

Exercises in the Sea of Japan, southern parts of the Sea of Okhotsk and the Avacha Bay will be a part of the check.
