Russia started testing “brains” for fighting robots

Tests of the software, which will teach robotics to think and make decisions on its own, have stared in Russia, the United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation (part of Rostec) told RIA Novosti.

Originally it is planned to use an intelligent system for military equipment, but in the future it may also be applied in civilian use.

“The United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation has completed development and begun testing the software system for centralized and decentralized management of a group of robotic systems that minimize human involvement in the management of machines and allows the robot to operate almost autonomously,” – a spokesman said.
