Shoigu opened exhibition with unique materials in Central Museum of Armed Forces

On Thursday, President of the Russian Geographical Society Sergei Shoigu opened a unique exhibition named “Military Geography: secrecy lifted” at the Central Museum of the Russian Armed Forces, which consists of more than 25 thousand unique archival materials.

The exhibition presents unique exhibits, which for many years were kept as “top secret” and were unavailable for fans of military history. Among them are secret maps that were at discposal of the command of the Red Army and the Wehrmacht, a plan map of Berlin with Stalin’s marks created in the besieged Leningrad, a 3D-relief map of the Kursk region and others rare exhibits.
