“Stary Oskol” submarine entered Russian Navy

The ceremony of raising St. Andrew’s flag on the “Stary Oskol” submarine of the Project 636 “Warszawianka” was held at the International Maritime Defense Show in St. Petersburg, the submarine officially entered the Russian Navy.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, as well as the Navy leaders.

“The “Stary Oskol” submarine will help the fleet to ensure the safety and interests of Russia in the Black and Mediterranean Seas,” – Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Viktor Chirkov said at the ceremony.
