The medium-range S-350 “Vityaz” anti-aircraft missile system, which will soon go into service in Russia, will have high maneuverability and survivability; it will get a rocket with higher performance than that of the S-300PS, chief of the anti-aircraft missile troops, Major-General Sergey Babakov said Saturday.
“It will be notable (“Vityaz” system) by better maneuverability – it is a lighter system than the S-400. It will have more ammunition, a more lightweight rocket. I think it will be robust. It will go into service in the near future, “- said Babakov.
The “Vityaz” will replace the S-300PS.
