First two “Buyan-M” small missile ships for Black Sea Fleet went on trial in Black Sea

The small missile ships of the Project 21631 “Buyan-M” – “Zeleniy Dol” and “Serpukhov” – went to the Black Sea to undergo state tests before entering the Black Sea Fleet, the press service of the Gorky Zelenodolsk plant said on Friday.

The “Green Dol” and “Serpukhov” are the fourth and fifth missile ships of the modernized “Buyan-M” series. It is planned to build 9 ships, three of them are already on service of the Caspian Flotilla, and the remaining six will enter the Black Sea Fleet.

Small missile ships of the Project 21631 “Buyan-M” in contrast to their predecessors of the Project 21630 have a larger displacement and are equipped with the latest high-precision long-range missiles – universal missile system “Calibr-NK” designed to destroy the marine and coastal targets.
