United Engine Corporation to start producing engines for the amphibious ships in 2016

Serial production of engines for the Russian assault and patrol boats (M-70) will be organized by the end of 2016, the general director of United Engine Corporation (UEC) Vladislav Masalov told reporters on Tuesday.
Earlier, Russian amphibious ships were equipped with power units of Ukrainian production, the supply of which in Russia was halted after the break at the initiative of Kyiv military-technical cooperation with Ukraine.
“We carry out government contracts for development work in the technological preparation of production of engines M-90 and M70FU … Completion of the M-70 engine is scheduled for late 2016,” Masalov said.
