The Military Council of the Strategic Missile Forces considered the state of nuclear safety of the troops, reported spokesperson of the Defense Ministry press and information service on the Strategic Missile Forces, Major Dmitry Andreev.
“The results of audits (held in 2014-2015) showed that the command of associations, formations and units ensures compliance with existing safety requirements of nuclear weapons in all phases of operation,” – said Andreev.
According to him, the meeting identified areas of work “on the guaranteed security of nuclear weapons.”
