Baltic Fleet ships rehearsed Navy Day parade

About 1 thousand sailors and 12 ships and vessels of the Baltic Fleet took part in a dress rehearsal of the parade dedicated to the Navy Day, said head of the press service of the Western Military District, Colonel Oleg Kochetkov.

According to him, the dress rehearsal of the parade was held in strict accordance with the scenario of the main naval holiday. At 10 o’clock in the morning the boat of the parade commander, commander of the Leningrad naval base, Rear Admiral Igor Smolyak, set off from the Palace Embankment and passed by the formation of the Baltic Fleet combat ships, lined up on the line of the parade on the Neva. The parade commander checked the readiness of the ships and crews participating in the parade on the Neva.
