Libya will consider the purchase of Kalashnikov assault rifles from Russia, Minister of the Arab Republic Omar Al-Kuayri said in an interview with Sputnik agency.
“I visited the Kalashnikov plant, where I received offers and pricing information. This information I gave to (the commander of the Libyan Army) Haftarah Khalifa, now a delegation is being formed that will study this issue. The Russian side welcomed us very much,” – said Al-Kuayri.
The minister reminded that most of top commanders of the Libyan Armed Forces had “graduated from Russian universities”.
