Shoigu: Russian Navy to receive 69 ships by year’s end

By the end of this year, the Russian Navy will get 17 warships and boats and 52 auxiliary vessels, Russian Defense Minister, Army General Sergei Shoigu said on Monday.

Previously, the Navy command reported on the plans to receive 50 ships by the end of 2015, including 10 major (first and second grades) ones.

“In 2015, the Navy is scheduled to get 17 warships and 52 boats and auxiliary vessels,” – said Shoigu during a conference call.
