Russia to remove missile, artillery control systems from “Mistral” ships

Russian specialists will dismantle from the helicopter-carrying amphibious assault ships Mistral all Russian equipment, including combat information and control systems and also missile and artillery control systems, a senior source in the defense-industrial complex has told TASS.

“All Russian systems will be removed and brought back to Russia,” the source said. “This concerns all Russian systems and also weapons and other hardware installed on them. I am referring to all ship-borne combat information and control systems, systems controlling missile fire, artillery complexes and the helicopter landing control module.”

The dates for bringing the equipment back to Russia are still being agreed, he said.
