The GLONASS satellite navigation system can be put into operation of the Russian Defense Ministry by the year’s end, CEO of “Russian Space Systems” Andrei Tyulin told reporters.
“We are must comply with our obligations. After that, the Defense Ministry will decide whether it is satisfied with the system, whether to take it into operation. A question of when it will be decided –this year or at the beginning of next year – is out of our competence. But right the other day, the aerospace forces have held a meeting on this issue and it was decided that the tests should be completed this year. We will make every effort to deliver the system to the customer within this period,” – said Tyulin.
