The ocean rescue ship “Igor Belousov” of the Russian Navy dipped the first diving bell on a working depth of 450 meters in the Atlantic, spokesperson for the Russian Defense Ministry on the Navy, Captain 1st Rank Igor Dygalo said Thursday.
“The parameters of work during dipping the diving bell were measured with special sensors the information of which was analyzed by specialists. The dive was carried out as part of the first phase of interdepartmental tests of the GVK-450 onboard deep-diving complex”, – he said.
It is planned that after the fourth stage of factory sea trials in the Atlantic the crew will begin state testing. The “Igor Belousov” rescue ship will become part of the Navy by the end of 2015.
