Serbian and Belarusian paratroopers arrived at the site of the international exercise “Slavic brotherhood” and started airborne trainings and exercises, said Tuesday spokesperson of the Defense Ministry press service on the Airborne Forces, Major Irina Kruglova.
The international exercise “Slavic brotherhood” with the participation of Russian, Belarusian and Serbian paratroopers will be held for the first time at the Rajewski site located near Novorossiysk from 2 to 5 September.
“A company of paratroopers from Serbia came to the place of exercise and received Russian equipment, communication means and weapons. The Serb military have passed airborne trainings and have already made their first jump from the Mi-8 helicopter using the Russian parachute system D-10”, – Kruglova said.
Warships of Russia and China completed the active phase of the joint exercises, which have become the most large-scale trainings in the history of relations between the navies of the two countries, said head of the information support department of the EMD press service, Captain 1st Rank Roman Martov.
“Military sailors of the two countries have worked out the issues of joint maneuvers, organization of anti-sabotage, anti-submarine, anti-aircraft and anti-ship defense. The culmination of the maneuvers was the joint amphibious and airborne assault at the range Klerk in the Southern Primorye, which was held on the territory of Russia for the first time”, – he said.
Teachings on the comprehensive provision of troops involving 6,000 servicemen and 750 pieces of equipment will be held from 24 to 29 August in six regions of Russia, the press service of the Defense Ministry said on Monday.
A special exercise will complete a set of measures to prepare for the strategic command-staff exercises “Center-2015”.
“Starting on August 24, in accordance with the Plan of Training of the Russian Armed Forces, a large-scale special teaching on the comprehensive provision of groups of troops is being held. Practical activities will be held from 24 to 29 August 2015 in six regions of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Western and Central Military Districts,” – a statement said.
Russian-Chinese military exercises have started in Primorye, said head of the information support department of the EMD press service, Captain First Rank Roman Martov.
“On August 21, the joint leadership headquarters launched the joint Russian-Chinese naval exercises “Sea Cooperation-2015 (II)”, – he said.
Leaders of the exercises from both sides stressed that the upcoming naval exercises “will not be directed against other states.” As it was previously reported, the main objectives of the exercises will be: working out and improving the organization to conduct joint operations at sea, on the ground and in the air.
About 6 thousand people and 750 pieces of equipment will take part in exercises of the logistics system of the Russian army in late August, Deputy Defense Minister Gen. Dmitry Bulgakov told journalists on Friday.
“From August 24 to August 29, six Russian regions will host large-scale complex special teachings of the logistics system of the military department. The purpose of the exercise is to develop a comprehensive support of troops (forces) in the Central Asian strategic direction,” – said Bulgakov, who was appointed the head of the maneuvers.
According to him, these exercises complete a range of combat trainings of control units, formations, military logistics units in comprehensive support of groups of troops and are a preparatory stage of the strategic command-staff exercise “Center-2015”. “The exercise will involve about 6,000 servicemen and 750 pieces of weapons, military and special equipment, including dozens of pieces of aircraft,” – said Bulgakov.
Deck fighter pilots of the Northern Fleet are working out the landing with the use of the NITKA simulator in Crimea, said acting head of the Northern Fleet press service, captain 2nd rank Andrei Luzik.
“A part of the flight crew of the Northern Fleet Ship Fighter Aviation Regiment under the leadership of its commander – honored military pilot of the Russian Federation, Colonel Pavel Podguzov – continues working out practical skills of landing deck fighters at the NITKA training complex, located at Saki airport in Crimea. By now, the pilots have held 9 flight shifts during which they completed more than 300 tasks,” – he said.
Before the start of training, all pilots passed tests for the knowledge of technical characteristics of the aviation terrestrial engineering complex (NITKA) and safety requirements combat training missions.
The “International Army Games – 2015” (ARMI-2015) that were completed on Saturday, became the first, but not last ones held, said Russian Defense Minister, Army General Sergei Shoigu at the ARMI-2015 closing ceremony.
Shoigu thanked the participants in the contest “for a beautiful and fair competition”, volunteers and all those who ensured the success of the tournament.
“Today, summing up the results and awarding the winners, we also want to say once again: we are waiting everyone to participate. Everyone who comes to us with peace, everyone who comes to us for such competitions. We would be glad to see you all here, at these grounds, in these fields of sports battles, and not on any others,” – said the Defense Minister.
The level of training of all teams taking part in the Army Games is growing every year, and their rivalry is becoming tenser, said Chief of the Russian Land Forces, Colonel General Oleg Salyukov.
“Each year, the competition is becoming more and more serious. Many teams have improved their skills: Kazakhstan, Serbia. The representatives of China pay a lot of attention to the analysis, they note everything very carefully and scrupulously – they have special groups working here. The progress is obvious”, – he pointed out on Friday.
Salyukov noted that the international community is very interested in the Army Games. “I think next year there will be even more participants and observers,” – he said.
Artillerists of the Russian Central Military District will hold shooting exercises from the “Grad” and “Uragan” MRLS in the Urals and Siberia, the CMD press service reported.
The trainings involve more than 5,500 servicemen and about 1,200 units of armaments and military equipment.
“The CMD artillery units will hold live firings from the “Grad” and “Uragan” multiple launch rocket systems at landfills located in the Orenburg, Chelyabinsk and Kemerovo regions,” – a press-release said.
Shootings will be held as part of the exercises of the CMD artillery and missile forces, which also involve units armed with the “Iskander-M”, “Tochka-U” operational-tactical missile systems, “MSTA-S” self-propelled howitzers, mortars and anti-tank weapons.
Military observers from North Korea, Venezuela and China will attend the final of the international contest “Safe route”, which will be held on August 12 at the Alabino firing range as part of the International Army Games-2015, reports the press and information service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
“Five military observers from North Korea, Venezuela and China have expressed their desire to attend the final stage of the international competition for the world’s best engineering unit”, – a spokesperson of the Russian Defense Ministry told reporters on Tuesday.
He said that the competition will involve military engineering units from the Russian Federation, China, Belarus and Egypt.
