Russian paratroopers during the “Slavic brotherhood” exercise held near Novorossiysk will test the “Cornet” antitank missile system before it enters the Airborne Forces, said spokesperson of the Russian Defense Ministry on the Airborne troops, Major Irina Kruglova.
“During the exercise, the anti-tank platoon will perform firings from the “Cornet” anti-tank missile system, which is not on duty of the airborne troops so far. At the request of the commander, when new armaments are received, we must use them on practice,” – Kruglova told reporters on Thursday.
The ocean rescue ship “Igor Belousov” of the Russian Navy dipped the first diving bell on a working depth of 450 meters in the Atlantic, spokesperson for the Russian Defense Ministry on the Navy, Captain 1st Rank Igor Dygalo said Thursday.
“The parameters of work during dipping the diving bell were measured with special sensors the information of which was analyzed by specialists. The dive was carried out as part of the first phase of interdepartmental tests of the GVK-450 onboard deep-diving complex”, – he said.

The “Zvezda” shipyard located in Primorye will be provided with orders as long as the Russian Pacific Navy exists, said Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov.
“As long as the Russian Navy exists in the Pacific, the shipyard will be provided with orders. Because this is our main platform for shipbuilding, ship repair, in particular, submarines,” – Borisov told reporters.

Russia’s Almaz-Antei air defense concern has ahead of time delivered to the Russian Defense Ministry the ninth regimental set of the S-400 antiaircraft missile defence system, the company CEO Yan Novikov said on Wednesday.
