Central Military District Artillery applied “Granat-1” UAV

The squads of self-propelled howitzers “Msta-S” at Totsky landfill (Orenburg Region) struck disguised simulated enemy command posts, using the coordinates provided by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
UAV complexes “Granat-1”, located at an altitude from 800 to 1500 m, passed exact coordinates of targets to the command post gunners using a digital communication channel. During the execution of tactical tasks CMD gunners desstroyed more than 200 different individual and group goals.
UAVs application when performing practical firings allowed gunners to determine the position and nature of the objectives accurately, as well as to make quick adjustments for firing depending on weather conditions.
