The Russian Armed Forces will receive 72 advanced mobile “night” short-range anti-aircraft missile complexes “Strela-10M4” by 2016.

Director of “Nudelman Precision Engineering Design Bureau” that developed the set Vladimir Slobodchikov said: “Last year, the Russian Airborne Troops received the first batch of 18 “Strela-10M4″ vehicles. In total it is planned to deliver 72 cars. The rest of the machines will be handed over in 2015 and 2016. The existing facilities are modernized, new ones are not produced.”

Modernization of equipment extends the “life” of an air defense system for 3-5 years.
