The all-army stage of the contest “Master of anti-aircraft combat-2015” will be held in the Kuban on June 22-27, at this event the servicemen will hold firings from the “Igla” man-portable air defense systems, the press service of the Southern Military District said on Friday.
In total, the competition will be attended by six teams – one from each military district, as well as by representatives of the Airborne Forces and Navy.
“During the exercises, servicemen will compete on a prepared route with a total length of 14.7 kilometers in shooting from the “Igla” MANPADS installed on the BTR-80 armored vehicle in movement, in shooting at a high-speed air target from the ground, the competitors will also perform control firing tasks using small arms and will cover an obstacle zone”, – a statement said.
