“Several years ago, our developments and interested representatives of the Russian Navy. Now it is all the more important in terms of solving the problems of import substitution. The year before, in Gelendzhik were successfully completed state joint tests side-scan ultrasonic direction filters of family “Neman” with the recommendation of adopting, and today already signed supply contracts with the Russian Navy in the period 2015-2017 years,” Belyi said.

More than six thousand military signalers will master modern communication base complexes “Redut-2US” during training, according to the Defense Ministry.
“During comprehensive training soldiers gain experience in the modern digital means of communication, in particular, the basic set of hardware connections and the hardware control communications, digital field communication system “Redut-2US”, mobile videoconferencing complex “MK VKS”, the statement said.
Trainings are held at the sites of the Southern, North-Caucasian and Crimean Federal District, as well as on Russian military bases in Armenia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

Control system Irbis allows the Su-35S to compete with F-35

Air Forces want to upgrade radar control system of Su-30SM

“V.Tikhomirov Scientific Research Institute of Instrument Design” expects to receive a military technical requirement for the modernization of the “Bars-R” radar control system installed in the Su-30SM fighters from the Russian Air Forces, General Director of the enterprise Yuri Beliy said.

“The “Bars-R” radar control system of the Su-30SM aircraft is a further development of the “Bars” RCS of the Su-30MKI aircraft developed on the order of the Indian Air Forces. In accordance with the military technical requirement, issued by the Russian Air Forces, the system has been upgraded to get improved performance. The RCS modernization potential is not limited to that, in the near future we are waiting for the new military technical requirement from the Russian Air Forces concerning further development”, – said Beliy.

He noted that negotiations on modernization of the RCS “Bars” with India had been conducted for a long time.

Commander of Aerospace forces: MiG-35 to find customers not only in Russia but also around the world

The MiG-35 fighter, which the Russian Defense Ministry plans to purchase in the future, will find customers abroad due to its excellent performance, said Commander of Aerospace Forces, Colonel-General Viktor Bondarev.

He noted that the maneuverability of the MiG-35 is “much higher” than that of the MiG-29. Moreover, the fighter will be cheaper than the “Su” aircraft lineup and easier to operate.

Earlier on Wednesday, Bondarev told reporters that the MiG-35S was being developed on the order of the Russian Defense Ministry and would be completed in 2017. After completion of state tests the aircraft will enter service with the further financing of purchases of more than 30 units. The contract on the purchase of the MiG-35S “is scheduled to be concluded in 2018”.

Russian Air Forces to get about 150 units of modern equipment until year’s end

The Russian Air Forces will receive about 150 units of modern aircraft until the end of this year, said spokesperson of the Defense Ministry press and information service on the Air Forces, Colonel Igor Klimov.

According to Klimov, currently the formations and units of the Air Forces are getting the latest and modernized models of aircraft, including the multi-functional aviation complexes of operational and tactical aviation Su-35S, Su-30SM, Su-34, of army aviation Mi-28N and Ka-52, MiG-31BM fighter interceptors, Su-25SM3 attack aircraft, Mi-35M attack helicopters, Yak-130 combat training aircraft.

Russian MiG-29 showed aerobatic maneuvers in sky over Yerevan

The air show with the participation of pilots of the Russian Southern Military District air base devoted to the Day of the Russian Air Forces was held on Tuesday at “Erebuni” airport in Yerevan.

Six fourth-generation MiG-29 fighter aircraft were consecrated at the event at a military airfield.

The aircraft received names of their heavenly patrons – St. George, Andrei Bogolyubsky, Sergius of Radonezh, Daniel of Moscow, Saint Martyr John the Warrior and Princess Olga.
