Pilots of the seaborne fighter regiment of the Northern Fleet naval aviation started a practical training in the NITKA aviation complex in the Crimea on Monday, said head of the Northern Fleet press service, Captain 1st Rank Vadim Serga.

“Three Su-25UTG training and combat aircraft and three Su-33 deck-based fighters, which will be involved in training flights, have been re-deployed from the Northern Fleet naval aviation airport of Severomorsk-3 to the Saki airfield. 70 military pilots and technical staff of the Northern Fleet naval fighter regiment have also arrived in the Crimea. Among them, there are five young pilots with no experience in take-offs and landing on the deck of an aircraft carrier,” – he said.

The “United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation” started development of a communication system for an advanced long-range aviation complex made of Russian components, the company reports.

New equipment is designed to ensure a stable connection of the aircraft at all ranges of application, in the most extreme conditions, including in conditions of the enemy’s electronic countermeasures.

It is noted that modes of cognitive radio and covert communications are for the first time implemented in the on-board system. The equipment will be able to test itself on its own and adjust operating parameters, providing stealth of data communication for foreign means of detection.

Russia and India to hold joint exercises in Indian Ocean before year’s end

The joint Russian-Indian exercise Indra Navy-2015 will be held in the Indian Ocean this year, said head of the information support department of the EMD press service, Captain 1st Rank Roman Martov.

This weekend Vladivostok hosted a conference dedicated to the teachings.

“During the two-day meeting, representatives of the Pacific Fleet and the Eastern Naval Command of India discussed issues of organization and planning, timing and areas of joint maneuvers and the composition of the forces involved in the exercises … the teachings themselves will be held this year in the Indian Ocean,” – Martov said.

Russian-Japanese border guards’ exercises will be held in the Aniva Bay on Sakhalin Island on July 22, says the regional Border Guard Service of Russia.

On July 21-24, the Echigo patrol boat of the Japanese maritime safety management will enter the Sakhalin port of Korsakov. The Russian side will be represented by the “Palia” and “825” border patrol boats, the “Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk” border patrol ship, a border patrol boat and a helicopter of the FSB aviation.

“The sides will work out actions on the detention of a conditional intruder, will take part in assisting the vessel in distress, as well as in saving people at sea,” – the press-service of the agency said.

Team of intelligence officers of Chinese People’s Liberation Army arrived in Novosibirsk to participate in the first international competition “Excellence in military intelligence”, which will be held in August. It was reported by the press service of the Central Military District on Monday.
“The team consists of 21 military personnel. Now they are preparing for a competition,” the press service of the Central Military District explained.
According to the press service, the Chinese intelligence officers on par with participants from other countries will show their skills in various disciplines, such as driving combat vehicles, overcoming water obstacles and “trail of intelligence officers”, shooting from different weapons.

Crews from 14 countries have confirmed participation in the World Championships of Biathlon Tank, which will be held in the framework of International Army Games in August 2015.
This was announced by the head of the combat training of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Ivan Buvaltsev.

“Program of the International Army Games is expanded, all types and kinds of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are taking part in it, but the large number of participants – 14 teams – is in the tank biathlon,” Buvaltsev said.
