Pilots of the seaborne fighter regiment of the Northern Fleet naval aviation started a practical training in the NITKA aviation complex in the Crimea on Monday, said head of the Northern Fleet press service, Captain 1st Rank Vadim Serga.
“Three Su-25UTG training and combat aircraft and three Su-33 deck-based fighters, which will be involved in training flights, have been re-deployed from the Northern Fleet naval aviation airport of Severomorsk-3 to the Saki airfield. 70 military pilots and technical staff of the Northern Fleet naval fighter regiment have also arrived in the Crimea. Among them, there are five young pilots with no experience in take-offs and landing on the deck of an aircraft carrier,” – he said.
